Limburg Pie and a review on the collaboration process with Wild Geese/Wilde Ganzen

Limburgse vlaai voor het team van de Stichting Wilde Ganzen in Amersfoort. “Limburg Pie” for the team of Wild Geese based in Amersfoort (The Netherlands).
Met de hartelijke groeten van de Xavier Community School, Dream Livingstone Foundation en Bouwstenen voor Zambia.
Gisteren hebben we, ook namens onze locale samenwerkingspartners in Zambia waar we Dream Livingstone hier met naam willen noemen, het samenwerkingsproces voor de bouw van de primary school geëvalueerd! Het handwash bassin is, door Corona genoodzaakt, ook onderdeel geworden van dit samenwerkingsproject net als de aanschaf van boeken van verschillende jaarklassen onder het motto “elk kind en leerkracht een eigen boekenset”, check. De Stichting Wilde Ganzen heeft alle euro’s die door de donateurs, sponsors en helpers gedoneerd zijn, vermeerderd met 50%. Elke gedoneerde euro werd daardoor 1,50 euro waard. En dat was meer dan de kers op de taart! Dan kan een echte Limburgse vlaai bij de evaluatie niet ontbreken

Yesterday, we reviewed, also on behalf of Dream Livingstone in Zambia and our key-partners in Zambia, our collaboration process for constructing the primary school. Due to the pandemic, a handwashing basin has become a part of this collaboration also, as has the purchase of books for various grade levels under the motto “every child and teacher should have their own set of books” – check.
The Foundation Wilde Ganzen””/Wild Geese increased every euro donated by sponsors, donors, and helpers by 50%. So every donated euro was worth 1.50 euros. This was truly the icing on the cake!
And what better way to celebrate the evaluation than with a real Limburg pie . Oh and yes, the “Limburg Pie” is a typical and very well-known treat specifically from Limburg, the most southern province of The Netherlands where the Foundation Bouwstenen voor Zambia/Bricks for Zambia is based . And this very succesful partnership which lead to this wonderful primary school as handwashbasin that have a great impact to the lives of over 255 children at the moment as to their families and community, deserved a Limburgse pie for sure!
