Heel veel dank aan Biblionef Nederland!!. Deze week mochten wij meer dan 200 nieuwe, Engelstalige kinder- en jeugdboeken ophalen!  Kleurrijke prentenboeken, een kinderatlas, leesboeken over dieren, spannende boeken, meidenboeken/jongensboeken, cultuur, natuur, zelfs een woordenboek en boeken van Nimpy (Nijntje) zitten er bij. Echt zo mooi.

  

Alles begint bij taal. En taal begint bij plaatjes, boeken, kiezen en zien. Taal is lezen en lezen is boeken lezen. Het brengt een hele wereld binnen die anders misschien wel gesloten blijft. Ook de kinderen van de Linda Blind Farm School hangen aan je lippen als je verhalen voorleest. Zelf hebben ze geen boeken. Daarom grijpen we de kans nu we een tweede, nieuw, schoolgebouw gaan bouwen. Daar komt ook een kleine bieb in. We zoeken nog biebinventaris maar we hebben nu prachtige boeken. Wat zullen de kids straks glimmen. Een plek waar ze zelf kunnen lezen. Op de bank, op een stoel, of op een paar kussens. En een boek kunnen lenen.

   

Wij willen heel graag alles doen zodat de kinderen leren te lezen voor hun plezier. En dat ze ook de omgeving en de spullen hebben om te lezen voor hun plezier. Want lezen voor je plezier = lezen en leren voor je toekomst. Het is plezier voor je toekomst. Dankzij Biblionef Nederland heeft de Linda Blind Farm School straks prachtige boeken, in een eigen bieb.

Biblionef Nederland werkt, al meer dan 25 jaar, wereldwijd. Ze helpen bij het opzetten van kinderbiebs, ze doneren boeken aan scholen en weeshuizen. In 2014 bijvoorbeeld alleen al 100.000 boeken. Engels- of Nederlandstalig. Nieuw. Allemaal. En met de internationale organisatie wel meer dan 500.000 boeken per jaar wereldwijd. Allemaal door vrijwilligers. A huge thanks to Biblionef Netherlands who donated over 200 brand-new, English, youth books! Colorful picture books, a world map, books about animals, exciting books, books for boys and for girls, for culture, nature, even a dictionary and some books of Nimpy came with it! Really beautiful!

Everything starts with the language, and the language starts with images, books, making choises and keeping your eyes open. Learning your language, building a better future by continuously good school education, broaden your horizons: it means reading, and reading means books. It opens a whole new world which otherwise might still have been closed. Especially the children of the Linda Blind Farm School hang on your every word when you read out loud. They, themselves, don’t have any books. That’s why we grabbed our chance making plans for the new, second, school building. It will house a small library in it. We are still looking for some library inventory but we now have quite a collection beautiful and exciting books! No doubt, how big the smile of the children will be! A place where they can read, on a bench, a chair or some pillows. And where they can borrow a book.

We want to do everything in our power to learn the children to read for their own fun. And that they have an environment and the equipment for reading. Because reading for fun is also reading and learning for your future. It’s fun which helps your future. Because of Biblionef Nederland the Linda Blind Farm School will soon have beautiful books within their own library.

    

Biblionef Nederland works already 25 years worldwide. They help starting libraries for children and donate books to schools and orphanages. For example, in 2014 alone they donated over 100.000 books. English and Dutch, new, every single one of them. See also www.biblionef.nl.
