Een mooi bericht van de Stichting Wilde Ganzen. We hebben de stempel “succesvol project”. Wonderful news from the foundation Wilde Geese Wilde Ganzen. We’ve got the stamp: “succesful project”!

Wilde Ganzen heeft de bouw van de primary school op de Xavier Community School mee mogelijk gemaakt. Elke gedoneerde euro voor de bouw van dit project is door Wilde Ganzen vermeerderd met 50%!! Uw euro werd meteen 1,50 euro waard!

Het zat inderdaad niet allemaal mee. Corona staat iedereen nog wel in het geheugen en kwam ook in Zambia voorbij. Maar in Zambia lieten we ons niet door tegenslagen weerhouden. In Juni 2022 is de primary school van de Xavier Community School met een grootse ceremony officieel geopend. Afgelopen tijd heeft onze locale samenwerkingspartner, Dream Livingstone Zambia, samen met Bouwstenen voor Zambia en de Xavier Community School de hele verantwoordingsrapportage van het project afgerond naar onder meer Wilde Ganzen.

De stempel “Succesvol Project” hebben we graag in ontvangst genomen. Want succesvol zijn de pre en de primary school. In de afgelopen 10 jaar heeft het zijn bestaansrecht bewezen. En de kinderen, die hebben de smaak te pakken en willen door leren. De eerste groep kinderen komt eind dit jaar van de primary school en wil graag door naar de secundary/middelbare school. Wij zijn al in gesprek met Wilde Ganzen en zij zijn heel enthousiast over de nieuwe plannen. Hopelijk kan Grade 7 eind december 2024 naar Grade 8!! Samen met de ouders, de school staff en onze samenwerkingspartners gaan we er weer voor.

As you might know the Wilde Ganzen Foundation has played a pivotal role in the construction of the primary school at Xavier Community School. Every euro donated to this project was generously increased by 50% by Wilde Ganzen! Your euro instantly became worth €1.50! So all the help and being multiplied for 50% by Wilde Gees made a significant difference on our way to raise the necessary funds needed to compleet the building process of this wonderful school.

Admittedly, the expansion journey wasn’t without its challenges. The memory of COVID-19, which also affected Zambia, is fresh in our minds. Yet, in Zambia, we refused to be deterred by setbacks. In June 2022, the primary school at Xavier Community School was officially inaugurated with a grand ceremony. Recently, our local partner, Dream Livingstone Zambia, alongside my foundation Bricks for Zambia (Bouwstenen-zambia and the Xavier Community School, completed the entire project accountability report to Wilde Ganzen and others.

We’re honored to receive the “Successful Project” stamp of approval. And indeed, both the pre-school and the primary school have been a success, proving their worth over the past decade already. The children are eager to continue their education, with the first group looking forward to advancing to secondary school at the end of this year. We’re already in discussions with Wilde Ganzen, who are very excited about our new plans. Hopefully, Grade 7 students can move on to Grade 8 by the end of December 2024! Together with the parents, school staff, and our partners, we’re committed to going the extra mile.
