Wat kindertekeningen je kunnen vertellen! The children of the Linda Blind Farm School inspire a designer by their drawings.

De Linda Blind Farm School is niet meer weg te denken. In amper 7 jaar tijd hebben children, leraren, ouders, bewoners van de Linda Farm en lokale samenwerkingspartners, deze school uitgebouwd van een hokje tussen twee huizen met een gordijn ervoor, via een huisje van amper 4×4 m en een èchte pre school naar een hele èchte, prachtige, pre en primary school. De Linda Blind Farm School staat op de kaart. In Livingstone en zelfs tot over de Zambiaanse en zelfs Afrikaanse grenzen heen, kennen mensen de Linda Blind Farm School. Op de Linda Blind Farm School zijn ze apetrots op de school en op wat ze allemaal al bereikt hebben. En dat mag gezien worden.

De Linda Blind Farm School, nowadays more and more also known as the Xavier Community School, truly is a very important part of the lives, and future, of many children and families as also for their teachers and staff as many people more involved. In just 7 years children, teachers, parents and the school comitee as people of the Linda Farm and the local partners, built up this wonderful school from that small space covered by a curtain in between two houses, into this real, amazing, pre and primary school now. The Xavier Community School is on the map. In Livingstone and even over continental borders, the Linda Blind Farm School is well known nowadays. Everyone involved into this process is very proud of the school and of what has been achieved. And this is a real compliment for everyone involved now and in the recent past.

Ook de Linda Blind Farm School wil heel graag een logo als een symbool waar je de school aan herkent. En waar uit spreekt waar de school voor staat en wat het betekent voor de kinderen. En er is bovendien een hele mooie reden om dat nu te doen. Welke reden? Daarover op een ander moment binnenkort heel graag meer.

The Xavier Community School would like to have this logo as a symbol for their school. A logo which expresses where the school stands for and their meaning for the life of their children. And now their is this wonderful reason to create this logo. Which reason? More about that soon.

And so the children rolled up their sleeves and used their creative brainpower as their drawing skills to inspire the designer of the logo.

De kinderen zelf hebben er heel goed over nagedacht. Ter inspiratie voor de ontwerper van het logo (waarover binnenkort vast meer) hebben de kinderen tekeningen gemaakt over hun school. Te mooi om niet te delen. En daarom delen we graag een aantal tekeningen. Omdat kindertekeningen als het ware een “extra taal” kan zijn voor kinderen om zich in uit te drukken. Alle tekeningen delen op de website is een onbegonnen opgave. Zonder iemand te kort te willen doen, hebben we een selectie moeten maken.

En straks, dan wandelen er meer dan 200 logootjes rond in Livingstone. Wat? Hoe? Daarover later meer.

And in the near future, over 200 small logo’s of the Xavier Community School will spread themselves all over Livingstone. What, how? More on that later.
