The Lions Service Clubs in Venray invited me to take them on a trip to Zambia. They really wanted to know more about the Linda Blind Farm School and were very interested in Bouwstenen voor Zambia.
So I took them on a trip last week. At one point I introduced them to the former Linda Blind Farm School. They entered the school. But there was a problem
Waren ze echt in Livingstone? Voor hun gevoel misschien wel eventjes. Maar dit was nog maar in.. Venray.
Groetjes Xavier
The Lions Service Clubs in Venray invited me to take them on a trip to Zambia. They really wanted to know more about the Linda Blind Farm School and were very interested in Bouwstenen voor Zambia.
So I took them on a trip last week. At one point I introduced them to the former Linda Blind Farm School. They entered the school. But there was a problem. Only 35 people were able to obtain a standing room. And what about the other 35 guests? They had to stay outside. With 40, sometimes even 45 degrees. No shadow. But also the people inside had no tables, no chairs, no books. I tried to ask: “how does it feel”? But they were so busy pushing each other away in order to gain their own standing room and get some fresh air to breath, they did’nt hear me at all.
Fortunately for them they did not have to stand there all day long. And of course I could assure them the children from the Linda Blind Farm School did not have to stand all they either. They opened their new school, a real school, more than 2 years ago. So they left this old, small schoolbuilding from only 4×4 behind. This new schoolbuilding has been build with a lot of support from the friends, donateurs and everyone who gave a hand in one way or an other way so I could support the children and the community to build their real school.
At the end something special happened. Totally unexpected the chairman asked for my younger brother, Gabòr, to step forward. He gave him the floor to tell something about a special project Gabòr is initiating for the Linda Blind Farm School. They were impressed about this idea and offered them their full support. I am sure Gabòr will tell you himself about this project in a blog one of the next days. Don’t miss our blogs in the weeks ahead on my website and facebookpage.
With best regards, Xavier
