Special Teachers Uniform Day: Dag van verbinding in het onderwijs in Zambia

Het Ministerie van Onderwijs heeft aan het begin van het schooljaar een speciale dag uitgeroepen waarop leraren en medewerkers schooluniformen van collega-scholen of hun oude schooluniformen dragen. Dit inspireert leerlingen en toont hun betrokkenheid bij hun onderwijsontwikkeling. Deze dag wordt in het hele land gevierd.

Op de foto’s: een deel van het docententeam van Xavier Community School, die voor deze bijzondere dag uniformen hebben uitgewisseld met collega’s van naburige scholen!

Op Uniform Day of WINFORM Day versterken docenten de onderlinge band en laten ze zien dat onderwijs een gezamenlijke inspanning is. Het uitwisselen van uniformen is een symbolische manier om dit te benadrukken. Daarnaast is deze dag een kans om de kantoren van het Ministerie van Onderwijs te bezoeken en meer te leren over het beleid, de plannen en het nieuwe curriculum.

En leuk detail: de leraren van de Xavier Community School hierboven dragen uniformen van verschillende, middelbare, scholen in Livingstone. Als dat gaan blik vooruit is :).

The Ministry of Education has designated a special day at the beginning of the schoolyear as a day for educators and staff to wear, on this special occasion, uniforms from collegae schools or their old school uniforms, inspiring students and showing support for their educational growth. This day is held countrywide.

On  Uniform Day or WINFORM Day teachers of all schools in Zambia foster a sense of camaraderie and shared identity. Sharing each others uniforms is one way to show this. It was held to showcase the Ministry Education’s work. And therefore also an opportunity to visit Ministry of Education offices and learn more about policies, plans, and the new curriculum.
