En een leerlinge uit Grade 7 hield een indrukwekkende speech. Ze zei het misschien het mooist: “You are giving us the greatest gift anyone can ever receive: the gift of education.”

Met volle overtuiging en vanuit mijn gehele hart, deel ik deze prestigieuze onderscheiding heel graag met iedereen die de afgelopen 12,5 jaar bleef geloven in deze bijzondere opgave voor kinderen die anders misschien wel nooit een school van de binnenkant gezien zouden hebben. Met iedereen die, op welke manier dan ook, zijn of haar steen bijgedragen heeft.

And a seventh-grade student gave an impressive speech. She perhaps put it best: “You are giving us the greatest gift anyone can ever receive: the gift of education.”

With complete conviction and from the bottom of my heart, I am delighted to share this prestigious award with everyone who, over the past 12.5 years, has continued to believe in this special mission for children who might otherwise never have seen the inside of a school. With everyone who, in whatever way, has contributed to this cause.
