Today special lunch to make dreams come true. Vandaag een bijzondere lunch. Weet u nog? Mijn workshop “Maak het verschil” bij de gemeente Venray? Dromen moet je dromen en daarna vastpakken. Als je droom kunt dromen, dan kun je de droom ook werkelijkheid maken. Ik had de deelnemers in de workshop uitgenodigd om meteen een afspraak te maken met een collega voor een kopje koffie of een broodje. Om elkaar te vertellen waar je bent met je droom. En om elkaar een beetje verder te helpen. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. Ik weet dat er vandaag mensen samen lunchen. Mensen die hun droom waar gaan maken! Fantastisch. Wat goed!

 

 
Mijn droom is om de kinderen van de Linda Blind Farm School te helpen om de armoede uit hun leven te bannen. Door goed onderwijs. Daarom werk ik aan mijn volgende droom: een grote container van Bouwstenen voor Zambia op weg naar Zambia. Vol met schoolmeubilair, lesmateriaal en meubilair voor het kinderdagverblijflokaal. Ik heb nog niet al het geld bij elkaar voor de kosten. Als dat lukt krijgen alle kinderen  een stoel en een tafel. En de kinderen van 10 – 15 jaar kunnen dan ook naar school want ze hoeven niet op de grond. Dat is niet te doen de hele dag in die hitte. wil je meer weten? Kijk dan op www.bouwstenen-zambia.nl.
Ik hoop dat de container van Bouwstenen voor Zambia, in het groen natuurlijk, binnenkort ook tussen deze stapels in de haven van Rotterdam staat. Om op een schip naar Zambia geladen te worden.

 

 Do you remember my blog over the workshop I have held at the City of Venray? About Building Brick for Zambia and about my foundation to help the children of the Linda Blind Farm School to kick out the poverty out of their lives. I invited the participants of this workshop to give their dream a deadline. Starting by dreaming their dream loudly and sharing it with others. A dream has to be lived to make him come true. So you can make the difference. For that I encouraged them to start dreaming their dream and to start acting. And to encourage them even more, I invited them to drink a cup of coffee with a co-worker in the next few weeks. To share their dream and their progress. To encourage each other. And you know what? Today people are having lunch together I have been told. To help each other in making their dream come true! I think it is fantastic they really give their dream a deadline en make their dreams come true! To make their difference. to help each other. Because this African proverb is so true: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”.
Brian, you see him proudly on the picture with his home-work, has his dreams. The Linda Blind Farm School supports him by making his dreams come true. I did not stop dreaming when we opened the new real Linda Blind Farm school about 1 1/2 year ago in Zambia. The dream I want to become real next is the dream about a big container from Bouwstenen for Zambia, crossing the seas to Zambia. Filled with schoolfurniture I already collected, and furniture for the nursery school. That’s one of my way’s of supporting Brian and his friends to make their dreams come true. That is what I am doing by my foundation “www.bouwstenen-zambia.nl” .  For this dream I am working on for this moment to arrange the transport of the schoolfurniture to Zambia. So the children all have a seat and a table in stead of a place on the ground. And so the boys and girls at the age of grade 7 can go to school also (they need furniture because a place on the floor all day long in 40 degrees is no alternative at that age). And they become good lesmaterial and much more that will be in that container.
