In 2024 slaagde de eerste grade 7/Class 2024. Eind 2025 liet Class 2025 helemaal van zich spreken. 100 procent geslaagd. Honderd procent! Dat is niet vanzelfsprekend. So very very proud!
Landelijk ligt het slagingspercentage op de primary schools in Zambia in 2025 op 71% (inclusief private schools). Class 2025 van de Xavier Community School behaalde 100%. En bovendien scoorden zes leerlingen zo hoog dat zij tot de top van de Grade 7-leerlingen in Zambia behoren.
10 jaar geleden dachten deze kinderen nog dat ze nooit een school van binnen zouden zien. Maar ze hebben het wel gedroomd. En hun droom geleefd. Ze hebben het gedaan! Glansrijk! Ze gaan door en maken de volgende stap: na de pre school en de primary school, wacht nu de secondary school.
Deze kinderen behaalden meer dan een certificaat. Ze nemen hun toekomst in eigen handen! En dat is mogelijk gemaakt dankzij het vertrouwen, het geloof en de hulp van alle helpers, donateurs en ambassadeurs als ook alle samenwerkende partners in Zambia, Nederland en zelfs wereldwijd. En de Stichting Wilde Ganzen vermeerderde elke gedoneerde euro met 50%. Veel dank! Een kleinschalig project, groot in zijn impact! Laten we samen verder gaan, nog veel verder. Want de wereld veranderen in je eentje dat kan niemand. Maar samen maken we het verschil!

In 2024 the school celebrated its first Grade 7 cohort passing (Class of 2024).
At the end of 2025, Class of 2025 showed its best side again: one hundred percent passed! That is not something you can take for granted. Nationwide, the pass rate at primary schools is around 71 percent (including private schools). Class 2025 at Xavier Community School achieved 100%. On top of that, six pupils scored so highly that they belong to the top Grade 7 pupils in Zambia.
Maybe they did not expect it themselves but they had their dream. And they did it! With many compliments to all the teachers through the years, the coach and the head teachers who guided this class. And of course teacher Sarah Ndekile Munkombwe and head teacher Mr Desmond Shamenda who guided the learners through grade 7 and prepared them for the final tests. Now the children want to go further making the next step. After the pre school and the primary school, the secundary school is waiting now!
Class 2025 earned more than certificates, they’ve claimed their future! And all this has been made possible thanks to the trust, belief, and assistance of all helpers, donors, and ambassadors, as well as all collaborating partners in Zambia, the Netherlands, and even worldwide. A small-scale project with a big impact! Thank you for this. Let us go further, much further, together!
