Gelukkig Pasen! Dat wensen de kinderen, het schoolteam en het schoolcomite van de Linda Blind Farm School alle mensen die Bouwstenen voor Zambia helpen zodat zij elke dag naar school kunnen. Ik breng het graag aan u over.
Gelukkig Pasen is het zeker ook voor de kinderen en het schoolteam geworden. Ze zijn namelijk gearriveerd!! De boeken voor grades 4, 5 en zelfs lesmateriaal voor de pre-school. Elk kind een eigen boekset!

 

Happy Easter! That’s what the children, the school team and the school committee of the Linda Blind Farm School wish all the people who support the foundation Bouwstenen voor Zambia (Bricks for Zambia) so that they can go to school every day. Im happy to convey it to you.
Happy Easter it certainly has become Happy Easter for the children and the school team as well. Because finally, they have arrived!!! The books for grades 4, 5 and even teaching materials for the pre-school. Each child their own book set! Check!

 

Elk jaar komt er een nieuw leerjaar bij. In januari 2022 hebben we grade 5 verwelkomd. Het heeft wel even wat geduld en meer gekost maar eindelijk heeft ieder kind in grade 5 zijn of haar eigen boekenset. En door corona en andere omstandigheden hadden de kinderen van grade 4 ook nog geen eigen boekenset ontvangen vorig jaar. Wat waren zij gelukkig toen ook zij pas allemaal een eigen boekenset mochten ontvangen. En dat was het nog niet allemaal want ook de kinderen van de pre school konden we nu voorzien in leerboekjes.

In January 2022, we welcomed the learners in grade 5. A new class of children made possible because of the opening of the primary school. It did take some patience and more but finally every child in grade 5 has his or her own book set. Due to corona and unfortunately other circumstances, the children of grade 4 had not yet received their own book set last year either. They were so happy when they all received their own book set! But this wasn’t  all because we could also provide the children of the pre school with textbooks.

En dan het schrijfmateriaal: een pen, potlood en kleurpotloden zijn als goud in een schatkistje. Een nieuwe voorraad schrijfmateriaal zat ook in de nieuwe dozen :). Het schoolteam had tevoren gevraagd of er ook wat poetsmateriaal gekocht mocht worden. Niet direct boekensets maar wel hard nodig.

This time there were also those boxes filled with writing materials: a pen, pencil and colored pencils are like gold in a treasure box. A new stock of writing materials was also in the new boxes :). The school team had asked beforehand if they could also buy some cleaning materials. Not directly book sets but badly needed.

Alle dozen werden met grote zorgvuldigheid door Dave, een van de onmisbare vrijwilligers uit het dorp, uitgepakt. Alsof het kampioensbekers in een prijzenkast waren, zo netjes werden ze door Dave allemaal uitgestald.

All boxes were unpacked with great care by Dave, one of the indispensable volunteers from the village. As if they were championship cups in a trophy cabinet, Dave displayed them all so neatly.

De kinderen en het schoolteam hebben me extra nadrukkelijk op het hart gedrukt om iedereen te bedanken die de donatie van de boeken voor grade 4, grade 5 en de pre school mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Ze gaan al graag naar school maar echte boeken geeft wel een extra boost aan elke schooldag.

Wij danken alle sponsoren, donateurs, helpers en ambassadeurs voor uw donatie, voor het gratis doneren via Doelshop, voor het delen van uw cadeau bij uw verjaardag, jubileum of pensioen. We danken ook de Stichting Wilde Ganzen die ook de donaties voor de boekensets heeft vermeerderd met wel 50%. Boeken op Zambiaanse scholen zijn geen gemeengoed. Op de Linda Blind Farm School zijn ze apetrots. Elk kind heeft een eigen boekenset. Check! Echte boeken maken een echt verschil voor de kinderen van de Linda Blind Farm School!

The children and school team urged me specificly to thank you very much for all the support offering them the opportunity to go to school every day. So on behalf of the children and the staff I want to thank therefore also everyone who made the donation of books for grade 4, grade 5 and pre school possible. They already love going to school but real books does give an extra boost to each school day.

We thank all the sponsors, donors, helpers and ambassadors for your donation, for donating for free through shopping at your favourite webshop by the intermediation of Doelshop, for sharing your gift at your birthday, anniversary or retirement, for your support in any way. We also thank the Wilde Ganzen Foundation who increased the donations for the book sets by up to 50%. Books in Zambian schools are not commonplace. At the Linda Blind Farm School, they are immensely proud. Each child has their own book set. Check! Real books make a real difference to the children of the Linda Blind Farm School!
