Nog één week en dan staat mijn TEDX-coach zèlf op het TEDX-podium!
Only one week to go and my TEDX coach Loes Keijsers has her own TEDX-talk.
Ik ben er erg trots op dat zij mijn coach was bij mijn TEDX-talk in 2015 (samen met Thijs Muijsenberg). En nog mooier dat zij nu het podium beklimt. Haar Talk gaat over tieners en het opvoeden van tieners. Ok dan. Loes gaat er vast en zeker een heel interessant verhaal van maken. En met haar humor hang je nog meer aan haar lippen! Volgende week vrijdag 18 november TEDX Venlo in Grenswerk. Geen kaartjes? Het komt ook op live-stream. Don’t miss it.

 

 
   I’am proud she was my coach for my TEDX-talk on stage last year. I’am very proud Loes is on the TEDX-stage this year. You have to listen to what she has to say. It is about teenagers but even then it will be a very interesting story and because she has a lot of humour to, you will cling even more on to her lips! don’t miss her on TEDX Venlo Friday next week. Loes Keijsers, assistant professor at Tilburg University, aims at improving the lives of teens and parents. “The ‘terrible two’s’ are notorious, but when you ask parents what – in hindsight- was the most difficult phase of raising children, most of them say the ‘terrible teens’.”
Unfortunately, we still haven’t figured out what the magic formula for raising teenagers is. As most scientific research on parenting is based on surveys among large samples, findings tap into group averages.
“What is really needed is obtaining scientific knowledge about how parenting advice can be tailored to the unique needs and strengths of an individual family.” Loes presents a novel paradigm in parenting research, to unleash possibilities of family-specific parenting advice. Could this be the next (r)evolution in teen psychology?
